Today, PU Europe published its comments on the Commission’s draft Energy Efficiency Directive which should allow the EU to meet its 20 % energy savings target by 2020. PU Europe stressed the need to put the deep renovation of Europe’s building stock by 2050 in the centre of policy efforts.

European capital welcomes Polyurethanes Passive House

Brussels, Belgium, 1 September 2011 - The construction of one of Brussels’ very first polyurethanes passive houses began today. Fully equipped and furnished with innovative polyurethane materials, the new house will be located in Europe’s capital, near the institutions of the European Union. The Polyurethanes Passive House will implement one of the most stringent standards of construction design, the passive house standard.

The Hungarian labour organisations, such as MKKSZ and KSZSZ, protested on Sep-tember 12th against the policies of the Orbán Government. “The two-thirds majority enjoyed by Viktor Orbán is reforming the country in a way that is causing great concern to many observers,” according to Müllers.
