Industry Competitiveness in the Green transition era

EuropaBio welcomes the recognition by EU leaders of the important role of biotechnology in a prosperous and competitive Europe as part of its Strategic Agenda 2024-2029. The integration of biotech and its applications across industries are already transforming traditional industrial ecosystems and can contribute to strengthening our security and defence, protect our citizens, and making a success of the green transition.
26 June 2024, Brussels - The FIA Region I hosted its annual summer cocktail on 26 June at the Royal Library of Belgium, gathering over 100 stakeholders from the transport and mobility sector in Brussels.
To mark the occasion, the FIA Region I presented its Mobility Manifesto, calling on newly elected MEPs and stakeholders to keep mobility and transport issues high on the political agenda. The Manifesto serves as a roadmap to ensure that mobility remains accessible and continues to meet the needs of European citizens.
Today, the S&D leader, Iratxe García Pérez, has been unanimously re-elected president of the Group of the Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament for the upcoming legislature. García will be leader of the second largest Group in the European Parliament with 136 seats.
