Transatlantic partnerships power Patriot expansion for Europe and beyond

In a world where threats evolve daily, reliable security depends on proven systems. For decades, Patriot has set the benchmark in air and missile defense, delivering unmatched performance to protect nations and citizens. Its enduring success exemplifies the mutually beneficial partnership Raytheon and Europe share—a relationship built on collaboration, innovation, and shared security.

Patriot’s operational record speaks for itself. With more than 240 fire units fielded globally, the system has achieved hundreds of successful intercepts, countering threats ranging from ballistic and cruise missiles to UAVs and aircraft. This combat-tested proven performance is why 19 nations, including nine European countries and eight NATO members, rely on Patriot to safeguard their borders.

With multiple assembly sites across the continent and a supply chain involving 24 European partners, Patriot is as much a regional endeavor as it is a global one. European companies play a vital role in Patriot program development, production, and continued sustainment. This collaborative model strengthens European defense while also supporting local economies, creating jobs and advancing technological expertise.

Patriot’s impact is a testament to the power of partnership, building a stronger, more secure future with Europe, for Europe.
